This collection of fire hose previously supplied the Chicago Fire Department with water by connecting their engines to fire hydrants throughout the city. The genuine red rubber sections display rich history of their time spent in service. The material used to make these hoses is a combination of cotton/polyester strands woven into a rubber jacket. Although its time has come to an end in the fire service, we have re-assigned these hoses to provide you with a product guaranteed to last a lifetime.
The brass finishes symbolize the rich history of fine metals used for over 100 years of firefighting from brass nozzles to horse harnesses used in years past.
Each CHICAGO FIRE SUPPLY belt in this collection was cut, washed, stamped, hand painted, and hand riveted in Grand Rapids, MI.
Sizing information shown below. Eyelets are stamped 1" apart. Measure your waist to find the appropriate length that fits you. Select the length before adding your belt to your cart. All sizes are measured from the 3rd hole to the fold of the buckle.
I have suggested this several times before. I love my Chicago hose belt and would certainly buy a black one. Please et me know if you will ever do that.
First, let me say the Customer service with Ladder 34 is second to none! The first Belt I ordered was too small. They replaced it, no questions asked. The Supply Belt is fantastic. It's stylish, Comfortable and super strong. I'm waiting for them to replenish my size and will probably order a second one. I'm also hoping they'll offer it in other colors. It's a great product!!
Overall, love the belt. Looks exactly as pictured, feels sturdy. I am excited to see how it holds up. My only critique is the lever piece of the belt buckle. It is loose on the shaft, so when moving around unbuckled it can end up on the wrong side of the buckle. Really not a big deal, so that tells you how nice the rest is.
Definitely a great belt, but the sizing of the belts compared to the sizing of clothes as far as waist sizes go don't match up. I bought a 35 in belt and wear 33/34 in waist size pants/shorts. The 35 in belt on me barely got to the 1st rivet hole to secure it. Had to make contact to exchange the belt for a 39in and return the 35in. Hopefully the 39in will fit better or I'll have to exchange again. Other than that, love these belts with being a former firefighter for over 13 years and love seeing old fire hose and such given new life!
This site is fabulous. I ordered a belt for my son. We are both volunteer firefighters. Anything we can do to support our brothers and sisters we are always on board.
